Happy Birthday Daddy!!

We celebrated Nader's birthday today by having a great dinner with the family at Grammy's house. (His birthday was actually Friday) Eli was very good at cake decorating!

Every time I'd tell Eli to say, "cheese," Peej would say it as well!
Adding the finishing touches!
Daddy couldn't tackle all that flame by himself, so Eli was pleased to help.
For those trying to count...there's 38 candles on there! (He's only 37, but he had to have 1 to grow on!) Gotta love having a husband who makes me feel so young! ;)
Daddy and Miles
Eli doing some damage on that cake, with only a candle as his utensil!
Matthew and Uncle Matt enjoying the frosting from a candle too!
Eli got VERY good at the whole eating with a candle idea, lol!
My boys! Miles reaching for the cake, Eli eating some, and Nader just happy to be with his little men!
Happy Birthday Daddy!!

Happy Birthday Nader! We love you so much and appreciate all that you do for our family! You are an amazing husband and father, and we are so blessed to have you in our lives!

Happy Easter!! Round 2

After going through the boys' Easter baskets, we went to Grammy for a bit! Luckily, it was another beautiful day, and we got to spend some time outside! The boys aren't all dressed up yet, as we must always wear "play" clothes at Grammy's house. Eli can't help but dig in his dirt piles over there!!

Miles and Daddy
Miles took a break from outside to try out Grace's new toy!
Eli LOVED the rocket balloons that were in his basket...
Love his silly face in this one!
I can't tell you how many balloons he pumped up, and then chased...
Grace modeling her Easter dress
Miles was worn out by the long morning/afternoon! My overgrown boy was all passed out!

Snow much fun!

We brought all of Eli's snow gear to Grammy's house, because Papa Steve was nice enough to plow a good path for Eli, and create a big hill for him to climb. Eli was excited to play in the snow...until Grammy threw a snowball that hit him in the face, and got stuck in between his glasses!! As you can see, he got over it quickly though!

Daddy was inside, snuggling up with Grace, fresh out of a bath!
Miles wanted a turn too!

Congratualtions Uncle Roger!!

Today we went to Uncle Roger's Retirement Party/Salem Lab's annual holiday party. The boys had a wonderful time being spoiled rotten by Uncle Roger and the rest of the Salem Lab family.

The man of the hour...

The lab's group manager Ray, Roger, and Nader.

Eli running to see his uncle...

(((HUGS!!)))

The boy wouldn't sit still!

Can't forget little man Miles!

Also, Happy 26th Birthday to my baby brother Ben! He's headed back up to Ohio for good!

A "daddyism"

Nader was left alone with the boys while I ran some errands. Now Miles is a fussy baby, and he tends to be extra fussy when he's alone with Daddy. Today was no exception. The key to getting Miles to go to sleep, whether it be for a nap or for bedtime, is to swaddle him, and swaddle him tight! Let's just say daddy tried:

Nader's version on how to swaddle

How a swaddled Miles looks when
mommy does it!
Much better! No body parts sticking out!

Now as if that wasn't enough of a "daddyism" right there, Nader pulled another one last night. I was out with a girlfriend and Nader put the boys to bed. I usually put pjs out for the boys, but forgot to last night. When Eli woke up, I was in histerics. He was wearing his dirty tee shirt from the day before, and Miles sweat pants, which clearly didn't fit Eli even as shorts. Nader's response? "I thought they were a little tight!" Gotta love it!
*Disclaimer: There is nothing bad about a daddyism, as I am happy my husband even does these things! I just find them rather cute/funny!

I am so blessed!

There are far too many times in my everyday life that I take for granted all that I have. I am blessed with the most amazing husband and two little boys, as well as family and friends.

I'm sitting here watching the newest season of "The Biggest Loser," and my heart is aching for one of the contestants. She lost her husband, 5 1/2 year old daughter, and 2 week old son in a car crash. I don't know how she is still standing, as I don't know how I could handle what she has been through. I will try not to get frustrated with the fact that Miles won't let me put him down, and Eli is full of tantrums. I'm sure she'd love to be in my shoes! So tonight, all of my boys will be hugged extra tight, and told once again how much I love them.

You guys mean everything to me!

Miles' Baptism Day!!

Today we baptised Miles Alexander! He did so great, and actually slept through most of it! He had me a little worried when he screamed his head off the whole time I gave him his bath this morning!

Proud Mommy and Daddy

Miles' Godparents, Callista and Steve!
We're so blessed they are a part of our children's' lives!

Our Family!
Miles and Tata
Here's the man of the hour himself!
Back into comfy clothes, and fast asleep with Kiki
Meanwhile, Eli is getting dirty outside with Avery...
as you can see, she's hiding from the paparazzi!
HUGS....kind of, lol!
Miles and Aunt Shirley
And one exhausted little man after his big day!

We're so thankful that we had so many family and friends surrounding us on this special day! Tata, Grammy and all the aunts did so much cooking, and everything was delicious! A special thanks to Callista and Steve, who will always be a big part of all of our lives, especially for Mr. Miles! We love you all!

Pictures!!

Things have been busy lately, so I am just now getting around to uploading some pictures. Miles is already a week old! Time goes by way too quickly. Eli is doing great with his little brother, and just loves him to pieces! Miles is a champ at nursing and sleeping, and as of right now, is really quite an easy baby. He seems to be following in his big brother's footsteps! Here are a few photos from the past few days!

Napping with Daddy

He looks a bit freaked out here, lol!

With his Ghea (great-grandma)

With cousin Zach
Showing some brotherly love!
Telling Miles the names of all his body parts!

Now Miles has a strange birth mark. When he was born I saw it instantly and couldn't figure out what was on his tongue, lol. It turns out it's just a pigment change, but it's quite interesting! Definitely an identifying mark, lol! He looks like he has a tongue tattoo!
