Dirt, cousins, and more dirt!

Eli has always loved dirt...so much, that I'm pretty sure this love began upon conception. As you can see, he expressed his love at a very early age:

It clearly wasn't a phase...as you can see by the dirt all over his face!

This love has been passed on to his brother...

Give Miles some dirt, he's happy...but give him some dirt and a ball, he's in his glory!

Eli took a break from the dirt to share his drink with little Matthew...

and tried to keep him clean when he dribbled a little bit!

(Make sense of that one!)

Back from the pond, and back to more dirt...but first, Eli wanted to take Grace for a ride!

Fun at the Farm

On this crisp fall day, we headed out to Mapleside Farm with Grammy. We were bummed my antibiotics hadn't kicked in, and Miles was still feeling under the weather yesterday, so we missed out on the Rockin' R Ranch with the Puch's! We'll venture out there next weekend though! Eli had a blast at Mapleside, and would have stayed in the treehouse and played on the slide all day if we'd let him! There are lots of pics, so beware!

Now, here is a picture of Eli on the way back to Grammy's. First, notice the red area on his chin. That was from falling at the treehouse at Mapleside. We then went to Red Wagon to get some end of the season goodies for Ghea. No injuries occurred there. Grammy needed to go to Marc's, so we tagged along. While shopping, Eli wanted to hold a car that Grammy was going to buy him. Harmless right? Not so much. Apparently Eli had the packaging of the car in his mouth, and I don't know how it happened but it made his lip bleed, lol. Grammy must have took off to fast in the cart! ;) That made for a fun tantrum! At least I had Miles and I could walk away from it, lol! That's where the dried tear just below Eli's left eye comes into play, as well as the matted eyelashes. Then there's the drool and the crooked glasses, and all we can blame that on is sheer exhaustion from spending the day with Grammy! (He tripped on the stairs at Grammy's house too! The boy was a hot mess, but still in a great mood!)

Ducks, dogs and dirt!

Today we went to Grammy's house, and the Puchmeyer crew joined us! Callista's car needed some brake work, so we figured while Steve was fixing them, the kids could feed the ducks, walk around the pond, play in the dirt, and just be kids! They had a BLAST, and were covered head to toe in dirt!

When I said they were covered head to toe, I meant it! Eli liked dumping dirt on his head!

We all had a great day! It was so nice watching Eli and Bella together and getting down and dirty! (And to think...Eli comes home like this after every trip to Grammy's, lol!) Callista, Jason, Bella and Lucy are welcome to come back with us anytime!!
